The Outsiders

As we read through the novel "The Outsiders" by S. E. Hinton, we will continually write and post blogs as responses to prompts by the instructor as well as the students. To begin, lets post a response to the question:

How does wealth and/or poverty influence a child's behavior? Does wealth, or the lack of it, create social class friendships? Does it create suspicion or confrontation with those from a different background? Can it lead to misunderstanding and violence?
